The Standard (NF-QMS)
General Affairs Division | Ref: NF-GA-2026-064 | Internal
The Organization maintains an internal management system certification, NF-QMS, renewed annually following comprehensive review of all operational divisions. The current certification is in force.
| Standard | NF-QMS (internal) |
|---|---|
| Scope | All Organization output, without exception |
| Review cycle | Annual. All operational divisions. |
| Certifying body | Internal. The Organization certifies itself and does not seek external accreditation. |
| Status | In force |
1. Scope
The standard applies uniformly to all Organization output. Documentation, correspondence, photography, packaging, premises, the collection, retail goods, and product are assessed against the same standard by the same body.
A nonconformance in any category is recorded against the standard as a whole. The Organization does not maintain separate standards for separate categories and does not accept that a failure in one is unrelated to the others.
2. Inspection points
| Point 1 | Intake. Grade and class assigned. Manufactured product rejected. |
|---|---|
| Point 2 | Handling. Conditions logged. Deviations recorded on the divisional return. |
| Point 3 | Pre-shipment. Grade reconfirmed. Product requiring accompanying explanation in order to pass is failed at this point and is not shipped. |
| Point 4 | Receipt. Countersignature obtained. Discrepancies raised within 48 hours or waived. |
3. Refinement
Refinement beyond the standard does not add value and is not to be charged to the Organization. Returns on additional finish fall away sharply once the standard is met, and personnel who continue past that point are producing for themselves and not for the Organization.
4. Nonconformance
Nonconformances are logged on Form NF-114 and closed by the issuing division. Repeat nonconformance in a single category is escalated to the Special Projects Division.
The following are recorded as nonconformance without further assessment:
| Withholding | Product held back from shipment in anticipation of improved market conditions. |
|---|---|
| Narrative control | Attempts to impose central management on the narrative of a brand or entity. |
| Explanation | Product which requires an accompanying explanation in order to pass Point 3. |
5. Certification
Copies of the certification summary are available to authorized agents upon written request to the General Affairs Department. Telephone inquiries are not accepted.
